Scotch 88 is thicker (8.5 mils) than standard electric tape and it sticks in
very cold weather. I have used Scotch 88 in 0° Chicago days and it does
indeed work in cold weather so it became the only tape that I bought. It
only comes in the color black and it is highly resistant to UV rays.

I do the same. But I also do a final wrap with white Scotch 88. This
reflects sunlight. Black coax seal (and anything else black) can get very
hot in the summer and change.
