Dave,
One BIG issue all of us in the northern Virginia has is the FAA radar site
on Bull Run mountain that operates between 1294 and 1296. Even with a DSP
noise blanket, it's difficult if not impossible to work 1296 to any station
that's weaker than S9. I'm 40 miles from the site and it's S9+40. K1RZ is
plagued by it and he is probably 60 miles from it in MD. If we all have to
move to 1298 for the EU system, that would help.
