Very stormy much of contest period--constant heavy rain and wind.  So noisy
at times had to use bev. for listening.  Saturday evening and night about as
tough as I've ever seen it (39 straight years--both modes).  At times
struggling to work anyone and rate dropping into the 20's and 30's.  Suspect
40 mtr beam, damaged two days before CW in gale, was one reason  (driven
element rotated 45 degrees on boom).  Sunday was much better with good run on
20 most of the day.  Sure glad for the DVP as it was tough remembering to use
the new call!!  Spent almost a half hour looking for VY1JA, but nada!  As
