SSB: I had to leave twice to do quick production jobs at work, and my younger brother was in town from New Hampshire so had to make time for a visit, and Celia was too bushed from yard and housework (several repairs and out of town trips piled up the work) for more than a few hours effort on Sunday. Just a 18 hr. total.

This is the lowest number of Qs I have ever gotten a sweep with. Until Fred Laun, K3ZO, told me during our QSO, I did not realize we had already bagged a SNJ with W2YR. I spent some time during the last hour calling for an insurance SNJ but never heard another one.

The HOA BoD put a note in their November newsletter soliciting anyone with interference problems, especially on weekends, to call the office to lodge a complaint. Apparently the note of last February produced only complaints about the Salsa music in the telephones from the 50 KW AM broadcaster just 1/4 mile west of our development. They also sent my friendly neighbor a letter telling him that giving me permission to support one end of my 40m dipole by a string tied to the top of his deck cover is a violation of the CC&Rs. They did not cite which provision he was in violation of, though. Thus far he has elected to ignore their letter and will give me a copy if he can find it again.

We spent about an hour on Sunday afternoon reducing the recently appeared 15m RFI on his big TV to a barely noticeable level by application of big ferrite toroids on the coax cable both into and out of his VCR. I also moved the end of the 40m dipole back 15 feet further away to the garden wall. The trespassing persons acting under color of authority of the HOA BoD may be able to reach it there, but they are on notice as per our lawyer's last letter to theirs they will be committing another act of trespass if they do so. Anyhow, at this point, with the 49ers still playing, we postponed cleanup of the other TVs until later.
