Equipment Description: IC-736; Alpha 91B; Amp Supply LK-500Z;
Ameritron tuner; A3S+40M; R-7000; inverted vees on 80 & 160.

I did manage to squeak past last year's score by 100k points or so.
42 hours on this year; I cut a few corners on work :) The new A-3S
added some needed gain on 15 & 20. The 40M add-on works about as
well as the R-7000 on 40. Not much activity from our region this
year. Always nice to have some local company in the contest. Nothing
heard here from A6 or A9. A45ZN (M/S) was on and I did hear HZ1HZ
once but I'm not sure how much time Ahmed was able to work the contest.
I caught 9K2/YO9HP in the last hour of the contest on 40. And, of
course, Chris, A71CW was rolling along at a nice pace as always. Never
heard 9K2MU, but I know Murtada wouldn't miss the WW! So without A92Q
and A61AF, my mults took a beating.

Fun stuff:

- Having some gain on 10/15/20. Shades of 4M4A and 4M5V
- Awesome pileups on 15 and 80 on Saturday. I do love crowds...
- Working lots of US big guns on 4 bands
- Working W3LPL, W1KM, 3C5A, and HS0AC on 160
- Hearing all those *cool* new stateside calls
- Working KS1L at 2359 on Sunday to break 4M points
- Saying hello to OH2BH on his birthday

Less than fun stuff:

- No long path to speak of. Never once heard the US West Coast
- Missed 5V7A on a couple bands
- Missed HC8N everywhere
- Realizing too late that I should have set up a second station
to hunt for mults on 10 & 160 and for skeds
- Knowing that few beams are ever headed in our direction except when
the EU-NA-JA pipelines shut down :( And beyond us are the poor
struggling VUs. Credit them for perseverance. And the YBs also.
Behind every 9A1A, EM2I, and LZ9A is one of us trying real hard to
get your attention. That's probably not entirely true, but you
  get the point.

Upcoming:

- ARRL 10M Contest (CW) from 7Z5OO

- CQ 160 CW Contest from PJ5AA. Skeds before and after to K3UOC at AOL.COM
