Comments:
At last, a contest which suits my modest station! First try in this
contest and my first 1m pointer result. Struggled on first night and
only good runs on 20m were within europe. Flu caught up with me in early
hours on Sunday and I failed to wake up from my planned hour nap! This
meant I missed the F1 Grand Prix but I took advantage of better
conditions on 40/80m in final hours to make up operating time to 35.2
hours. I enjoyed the contest after a shaky start, so overall a good end
to my first season of hf contesting. A big public thank you to the
seasoned ops who gave me advice on tactics prior to the test. Now to
antenna work before the six/ten metre es season and the multi single I
am organising for IOTA 97 (GW7V will be the call IOTA EU124, and we will
be LOUD thanks to the monobanders and alphas coming here with the GM
