Stuff:   CT 9.27,  FT-1000D, Alpha 77 (One Tube!), DVP, New LMR-400

         and all new AZTEC RF Baluns, WX0B Stack Box...I think it

         helped!


-  Think this was one of my best starts so far....15 meters was GREAT
and

   between 15 and 20 I pretty much worked all the 7 land stuff in just a
few             hours....Interesting   short skip Saturday afternoon. 
Signals were 20 over 

   from ME to MT! 

   15 seemed to have a bottomless pit...Great time.  Was almost 200 Q's
over last

   years score at break time.......Was hoping for 10 meters but 

   only sigs heard were NP4A and WP2Z.  Week prior, we had GREAT 10 meter
openings

   to the East coast...What happend??


-  20 was a disaster....Too many people and not enough band....Finding a
hole

   was Real tough....Signals never sounded very good here either day.


-  40 was great....Found a hole Sunday afternoon at 7.240 and stayed
there for

   over 3 hours...This was real luck!


-  Power company promised to have line crew out here before SS
Phone...This was a 

   problem reported to them last year!!  They never made it!  At times on
20 and 40

   Noise was S9....Never stayed on for more than a few minutes, guess it
could have

   been worse...


-  Last two mults were PR and NL....During my VERY short stay on 80, NP4A
called

   in!!   Sunday I had a VO1 /MOBILE call in that wasnt in the
contest...Got all

   the info and then 10 minutes later had two more VO's call!!   VY1JA
called

   me early..THANKS!


-  Think this was my first year with first 8 hours over 100/hr!  RATE.EXE
showed

   top rate was 191/hr....
