Another great Stew Perry TBDC, even though propagation wasn't on our side
this year.

Call: K7NU (Topbander's Club)
Operator: WA2DFI
Class: Single Op
Power: 100W
Time: ~10 hours
QTH: Clay Springs, AZ (DM44)

172 QSOs 731 QSO Pts x2 = Total Score of 1462 pts

Rig: TenTec OMNI VI+
Antenna: quarter-wave balloon supported vertical with 2 elevated radials @ 30'

Great contest again this year! Heard many JA's, but could not raise even
one of them! Surprising, since they had very good sigs here in AZ.

Got a late start from Phoenix and drove up to the mountains, away from all
the power line noise (thanks to W7GNP's generosity). Didn't have time to
run feedlines from the 4 Beverages, since it was dark by the time I got the
balloon launched and the operating position set up. So I just had to
"tough it out" with the TX antenna for receiving. From the stations that I
heard (or didn't hear, I guess), looks like I could have used those
Beverages! Heard a whisper of ZL??, and no EU at all. Wonder if anyone
else heard any JA's at 579 but could not raise them? Worked right coast
stations that were much weaker with ease!

73 es CU in CQWW160 from N7KQ!
