I just don't know what to say - it was a wonderful contest
from EM00st this weekend. The E-skip was very good, except
to the west. The E-skip, tropo and station improvements
sure made this contest a blast. In 1996 we has 1161 qsos
on 6 meters. Before contest I was telling people that
with all the new stations on 6 meters that if we ever
got an opening as good as the one in 1996 someone could
make 1500 qsos. I do not think the opening overall was
as good as it was in 1996 since our grid total on 6m was
down but I will say that given the amount of activity
if we ever get a big opening - like the one in 1987 you
might see 6m qso totals in the 2000 range. The highlight
for me was getting called by CT3FT on sunday afternoon.

On the high bands we did some of the work to make the station work
a bit better (more planned this year) by adding some new
antennas and a 2m KW - it was a good thing we did this as
the tropo made these bands a lot of fun during the weekend.
