WHAT AN ADVENTURE!

John and I are extremely pleased to contribute 14M to the
Frankford Radio Club.  It was no easy task.

John is my new hero; I have never seen someone so dedicated to
contesting.  He was very ill at the start of the contest, but did

his best to stay in the chair for as long as possible.

Meanwhile, Q28 on the control board of my trusty TS940S failed at

1900 GMT on Friday evening before the contest; it took me until
0230 GMT Saturday to finish troubleshooting and repairing the
problem.

We figure that between John’s illness and my radio problems, we
probably lost about 6 or 7 hours of operating time.  Therefore,
we are very pleased with our score.

I plan a full write up on our adventure which I will publish in
the next week or so.
