Juan has a spacious ranch an hour out of Asuncion. It is so rural there is
no landline telephone service to the region yet. It is nice and quiet on the
radios with no manmade noise. Special thanks to Juan ZP5MAL and Tom ZP5AZL
for their incredible hospitality and dedication to make this a truly great
radio event, from start to finish. Plans are already being made to increase
the tower height for next year(currently the highest tower is about 65ft). A
WX0B Sixpack has been added to the permanent setup at the site.
Many operators succeeded in working us on 5 bands. The 3el V-beam is a
killer on 80! 160 was quite noisy, even with the beverage(it's almost summer
in the Southern Hemisphere)...but we did get 8 Qs in the log.
There are plans to make ZP6T active on CW again! ZP6/AB2E made about
500 Qs before the contest.... ZP6/N3BNA also gave out several hundred Qs
.... all on CW.
Thanks to all who worked us!
