Comments:

Antennas:

A3S fixed 125 deg at 53'
Force 12 4 element stacked at 55'/33'

Lowlights:

I got called by "Dr. Watt." I asked his call. He said "Dr. Watt." I said,
"Right, I'll bet the FCC issued that one."

I got called by a guy who wanted to know if the radio he just bought from Radio
Shack was working. I asked if he had a license. He said "no." I told him to get
a license.

EU looked like it would be wide open Saturday morning when my 1st EU QSOs were
with S5. But it didn't happen. EU looked like it would be wide open Sunday
morning when the 1st EU QSO was 1/2 hour earlier than on Saturday, but it just
didn't happen. Of my 181 EU QSOs, 108 were with G, F, EA and DL, evenly
balanced. But almost nothing else.

SA took a siesta. Only 38 SA QSOs. At the bottom of the sunspot cycle, SA was
the only game in town.

Lots of needed CW mults worked on phone didn't have a key and couldn't move.

Never heard WY, NWT, YU.

My two radio mixed mode on one band plan was thrown for a major loop when the
special sharp filter (28000 - 28060) went down as soon as I moved to phone. I
could only do 2 radios when CQing on phone and S&P on CW and then only with the
antennas turned a certain way.

Highlights:

My best hours ever with a 159 on CW in the 1st hour and 162 on phone at 1600
Sat.

A brief EU opening at 2230 Sunday. Got the call of an LA (only one heard the
whole weekend) but couldn't get the number. That was followed immediately by an
SM (only the 2nd the whole weekend.)

All 5 mult move attempts were successful. DC, PZ, R2, A2, V3

Only missed WY, NWT and YU domestic mults (plus LAB on CW.)

Overall, it was alot of fun.

73, Ken, K6LA
