Rig: Kenwood TS-870

Antennas:

20/15/10	cushcraft D-3 rotatable dipole w/o rotator
80-40: 80m dipole fed with open wire line

Comments:

NEVER NEVER EVER sign "/0" again as long as I live! Countless people
copied N4VE or if I was "lucky", N4VE/0.

Never did hear much from JA except for the big guns. I even went to
the
effort of going to the roof and hand rotating my D-3 dipole towards JA
and the
end result was the least amount of JA's I've heard in any dx type
contest. Was
this a propagation thing here in the Rocky Mountains (haven't heard
anyone else
mention a dearth of JA's)or was I just totally out of sync?

As a relatively casual event I had a good time. Wouldn't think about
taking
it seriously w/o better antennas and more power.
