Special thanks, as usual, to Matt's wife Christine for providing food and
moral support for the crew. And to Sabrina and Casey, Matt's daughters,
who keep us entertained and laughing even when we're in the middle of
fixing a broken computer or whatever. They love hanging out with the
boys. They even love putting the headphones on and listening to pileups.
And thanks to Ralf, DL7SI, who helped out with station work prior to the
contest in addition to operating the spotting stations. Ralf is a good
friend of Matt's from Berlin. It was great seeing him again.
And to the ops who travelled to be part of the team:
* Steve, N2IC who lives in Colorado and who has piloted 40m for the last
three CQWW CW events. Steve is well known in contesting circles as
both an awesome single-op and a great guy to have on any multi-op
team.
* Dave, N3RD from the Philadelphia area (where I grew up). I first met
Dave in the Frankford Radio Club (FRC). Dave is a highly experienced
op who has done many things in contesting...notable operations from
VP9AD (and other DX locations) as well as many winning operations from
N3RS. Dave is one of the owners of Top Ten Devices.
* Steve, K6AW, from the Bay area in CA. Steve operated both CQWW Phone
and CQWW CW here this year. Great to have him on the team...I first
operated with Steve at HC8N this year in CQ WPX CW. He knows the
contest game well and has been doing it for a while. I'll never forget
his 4400 QSOs on 15m from HC8N in WPX CW!
