Comments: I was planning to operate in normal high power cathegory.
Luckily I had been playing with a thought of working with 100 W only.
I arrived in OH5NQ QTH only a couple of hours before the start. As
usual, everything was not set untill last minute. I fired the first CQ and
that's it, RF tilted my computer. The decision was fast and easy: I
switched linears off. Working with hand and paper was out of question. So
after rebooting the first QSO was logged 1203z.
Wished for better propagation for many times. The beginning was fairly good
but later on there were far too many low-rate long night hours. And even
though day came rates stayed low (ratesheet aside). The difference in Q-
and other numbers between HP and LP results is remarkable.
Anyway I liked it. Also I tried to behave on bands just like the usual
QRO-operator - no sneaking around in sideways. It seemed to work well.
Of course lost my frequency several times to other scandinavians who were
not copying me, but not that many times as I had expected.
I fit in real well with 100W. Good antennas work well also with less power.
Thanks to all who copied my signals. Always a pleasure to QSO.
And final thanks to my host Peter OH5NQ.
