Long and boring remarks... -yes again
CQ WW RTTY,... well sure contest we'll be remember for a long long time..
. If we look at the good side of this contest...
* we made new club record on rtty (previous one: 666 qsos)
* after about 2 years whole team was in action again (4 crazy opies)
* we had lot of fun (most important thing)
. now the bad side ...
* we lost our PS-50 so that means who knows when we will work next
  contest
* radioshack is in such mess that even my dirty words couldnt
  explain it...
* we didnt made 1000 QSOs

Getting ready for the contest>
9A5AEI & myself planned this contest for last couple of weeks and tooked
it very serious. Day before the contest 9A6NPM desided to join us for few
hours during the saturday's and sunday's break betwen Patrick (5AEI) &
myself.
Antennas were up and we had no problems with that (but that was only in the
"getting ready" period).
Friday morning only 16hours before the start Mark (6NPM) & myself with other
guys of our class went walking for about 20-25km (poor legs). School
teachers
offered us walking in nature instead of being in desks like usuall days.
Of course such a crazy kids as we are tooked walking (but there was on
noone's mind that it will be hardest walk in our short lives).
I came back home like from 10 days in jungle and it was 10 hours before
the contest (so no time to sleep and whole night in contest is waiting).
I tought God gave me enough probs but.. but..
2 hours before the contest Patrick and me had a fight around logging
software. If we choose to use WF1B then we have no cluster avaible, because
Patrick's TNC wont work on packet with TS711E and if we choose CT we have
packet avaible but we have to input QSOs at WF1B after the contest. So I won
and we installed CT. :) Half hour before the contest another prob showed
up... on 40meters we couldnt operate because it makes mess on the keyboard..
OK great we are out of 40meters.. yupi ya ye here we go...

During the contest>
Start was nice and easly, I started with the 80m and I was very satesfied
with my work.. changed to 20m and back to 80m.. it was plan for whole
night...
During that 1st night when I worked on 20m US guys didnt heard me very
well and I was thinking what could it be (guess what!? wind turned our
2 el QUAD to VK direction :( )... so VK's were going quite good at early
morning hours... I worked untill 0700Z am (9 am local time) then Patrick
came
to change me and he worked on 20 & 15m. He made some JA's and rest of the
day more or less he was busy with working US on 15 & 10m. Then at 1500Z Mark

came to work and also Rudy (9A3RE) joined us (whole squad in action..jokes
& qsos.. what could we need more? -just perfect)
We entered evening very happy, we had over 500 QSOs and feeling great before
the night... and it was my turn to work again... yeah...
40m still not avaible.. but still I was sure we're gonna made that 1000
QSOs..
At around 2300Z I finaly made that I can work on 40meters and I felt just
great, couldnt be better. Then the big shock... 23:35Z.. after working OH0XY
our PS-50 went crazy... his point was to give 13 and not 25V like he did...
I knew something will gonna happen because it was so hot I could make
pancakes on it and our ventilator was not so strong to give cold on both
sides, TS and PS. :)... Night was lost.. I couldnt wake up people at
almost 2 am in the morning.... Patrick came in morning and he called
Rudy who brings his IC706MKII... a small hope that we can make something
is here... but IC706MKII is not such a great contest rtx.. it's
just a mobile station... so we worked slowly and easly that we dont make
another damage... Patrick worked whole day and I was watching most
incredible Formula 1 race on TV (I feel bad for Frentzen :( ).. :)
At 2136Z Patrick made last QSO... Contest Was Over For Us...
What to say more? To be happy or sad?
I really dont know... I just pray that I'll find new power supply untill
CQWW CW.. if not.. hmm.. we're gonna be sorry for this contest...
Thanks again all for nice contacts...
We love you guys..
