Soapbox
---------
I started out with a great rate the first half hour on
15 but after that 15 never seemed to produce any runs.
I really felt like I was doing well until it came time
for 80 and 160 which are my Achilles heal. I put up
a B&W folded dipole at 35 feet to use on the second radio
since it's 160 through 10. It really seemed to work
pretty well on the high bands but on 80 and 160 it just
didn't produce. No one could hear me on 160 and CQing
on 80 didn't work either. I knew I was in trouble when
I kept hearing Dave, KT0R, running on 80 and working people on 160!
I then decided the best I could do was CQ on 40 while combing
80 and 160 on the second rig. I was kicking myself for not
passing more mults earlier in the contest on the high bands.

For me the second radio was key. If I couldn't have kept CQing
on 40 while S&P on 80 I would have become really demoralized.
Not sure how many I worked on the second rig but it was quite
a few. I even worked a HK0 on 10 with the second rig for one
of my few mults there. Now all I need is something better for the
low bands, hi! Anyone ever put a sloper on a tubular crank up and
get it to work?

Greg K0OB
