Comments:

Experienced a real problem with line noise for the first time at this qth.
The noise blanker in the 746 worked well, but pumped badly in the presence
of loud signals. Time for a letter to my electric power provider. 10 
showed signs of a good Es opening, but it never really materialized. 
Low bands weren't at all impressive. Let the winter games begin!
