Comments:

Congrats to HC8N on blowing the old record away.

I was happy to see we were neck-and-neck with Trey and Steve in QSOs
considering our operation was just another suitcase expedition (mini Team
Vertical), using about 45 lbs of antennas (all verticals of course!). Standard
M/S operation with one station (JST245 + Alpha 76 at 1000w max), no packet.
Just sat and ran most of the contest. We felt strong on all bands (even 40m)
but 40m QSOs were much less than expected.

We had some fatalities before the contest - amplifier transformer Molex wiring
came loose (again) on transport and had to resolder connections (time for a new
amp...), blew up remote coax switch for high band arrays and had to run RG-8X
to the high bands on Friday morning, and antennas were a little harder to set
up than anticipated. But all in all, this was a fun trip.

I hear others complaining about conditions, but we should all consider
ourselves lucky, as we caught a window of relatively decent conditions between
solar storms just before and after the contest that pushed the A index to 4 and
above.

QSLs for 6Y8A and K2KW/6Y5 are via WA4WTG. QSLs for K6XX/6Y5 via his home CBA.
