This was a father and son effort. (Shouldn't there be a category for that?)Our
goal was 1,000 QSO's, however at 0139z with over an hour left, mother nature
let loose with a tremendous thunderstorm here in Central Texas. We had to pull
the plug and fell just short of our target.

I haven't done Sweepstakes in a few years. The rates on Sunday were terrible,
which convinces me that this contest is won on Saturday. We elected to stop at
0800z Sunday morning when rates dropped to 35/hr. I would have traded a couple
of 35/hr hours for the 20/hr rates on Sunday afternoon. A lesson once learned
and now remembered. Thanks to everyone who worked us.
