Soapbox: Finally some decent conditions! Lets hope it holds up for CQWW
SSB next month. 10m was open both days, although not strong this far
inland. It was nice to work some Eu and SA. 15m was very strong both days
and had decent propagation to most parts of the world from here. Most
interesting contact was DU3NXE at 22:58 all by himself. 20m was good for
both days as well, although a lot noise than 15m. Likely missed the peak
activity and a few mults as I spent a lot of time on 15. Thankfully, 20
held on till early evening (local) and was overall very productive for the
time spent. I was surprised by 40m as this is not a great band for me with
only a 40m delta loop and a sloper, but conditions obviously were improved
for this band as well. A lot of great ops digging out a weak VE5
signal. 80 was very noisy and yielded a few on contestant mults, but no
DX. Might have cracked a 1000 Qs if I kept my
butt in the chair, but we are still getting ready at VE5DX for CQWW SSB and
had more antenna work to complete and I needed more beauty rest than
normal, hi hi.

THANKS to all those who dropped by... see you in the next one.
