The LP category has certainly changed in this year's contests, as super
stations K4XS, VE3EJ, and now K8DX have moved into the "neighborhood!"
Apparently, the top scores are down a little this year from last year.
My score would have been #5 LP last year, so I have hopes that even with
the newcomers at the top of the list, my single-tower station's results
will still be respectible. I did get the rotor on my 20/40 and top 10/15
antennas fixed for this contest, which made a big difference from the
 ARRL contests.

All the OH stations responded with "big signal" - I'm sure a result of
Paul's (former KS9K)station's reputation. However, many west Europeans,
when I asked for honest signal reports on Sunday said I was about S5 with
the big signals being around S9. This figures, since 100 watts is 12 db
below the 1500 watt stations, plus figure in the location and antenna
size. Still, I'm sure that my total score would have been substantially
 less with the N4TZ callsign.

Of the 1357 QSO, 969 were S&P. One of the reasons I have entered the low
power category in recent years (besides not having a 220 volt line in the
shack) is that I enjoy hunting or DXing. This has historically been a
large part of successful LP contesting, but that is now changing with the
 super stations entering this category.
