Comments:

After reading the comments from the CW weekend how everyone appreciated the QRP
participation, especially on Sunday, I thought I'd give it a try. Phone is not
my favorite mode, but I thought that because most ops from my section operate
CW when QRP, there might be a certificate in there for me if I got on for a
bit. I was pleasantly surprised. Most of my 10m and 15m QSO's came off the
first call, where lots of ops told me I had a very good signal. Rates were
excellent for all S&P (well almost all; think I worked two stations when
CQ'ing). High bands were great, but was disappointed in 75m. I thought I might
be able to find a spot and run stations being "fresh meat" but several close in
stations that were S9+20 wouldn't answer my calls. So I missed a number of
sections that normally would have been a piece of cake. One interesting thing;
I was listening to a VE9 on 15m when someone told him that a VO1 was at 21.200.
Took a spin down there to hear lots of stations working him. I wonder how many
will receive notices for out of band operation? All in all it was nice to work
a contest with no pressure to have to keep up with anybody. Fun? WOW!

FT1000MP cranked back to 4-5 watts, TH6DXX @ 50', 160-40m coaxial trap dipole @
40', TR Log (of course).
