Well, that was interesting!  At 05:30Z I had 580 Qs in the log and
there was a new W2VJN record in sight.  Great excitement was
followed by a long, slow night with rates slower than any in memory.
Day light Saturday was just as bad.  Oh well.  The long path on 40,
which is my favorite place, did not produce the European multipliers 
that I expected on Sunday morning.  Fifteen opened early at 15:45, so 
I skipped 20 and went right up.  The next hour produced 23 multipliers 
and then the move to 10 meters gave me another 29.  It was like the 
contest had just started.  Of course 10 meters was closed for Europe 
by 17Z as usual on the west coast.


Equipment:  One radio, two amplifiers and lots of antennas.
