Comments:

Thought the antennas were broken Friday night...Couldn't hear anything, band
closed solid here at start time...Gave up after 7 QSO's in 45 minutes and
watched a movie.

Things came together Sat morning though and had some great runs into Europe and
South america for several hours on CW...Then swung the beam West and started on
the W's and K's...Lots of stations on this year and had more good runs...Great
propogation to the Western US all weekend, but couldn't scare up a WY station on
CW if my life depended on it...Ended up missing that one...

Had to take some time early Sat evening for some non-hamming stuff so shut
things down for the night...

Band opened early Sun morning with strong EU and SA signals all morning...Had
one of my best USA runs ever Sun afternoon for 2 solid hours on SSB...Rate meter
hit 300 a couple times...Couldn't believe it, all strong signals, all spaced
out, nobody tried to swipe the freq, no phone ringing, had some fun!!

I don't like this rule about being automatically classed as Multi/Single if you
use dx spotting, but I enjoy using the cluster so M/S it is, even though there
hasn't been another op in this shack for 2 years!! hi hi...Lets have a Single
Op-Assisted category, like most other contests...

Condx not as good as in the last 3 years, but great fun all the same...Thanks to
everyone for all the QSO's and hope to see you in the RAC Canada Winter Contest
December 28, 0000z to 2400z...

73, and all the best of the season...

Scott VE1OP
