Soapbox:
I went into this contest thinking that I would get a mult for every
band/mode combo. Oops! You read the rules in detail when you add them all
up.

I was disappointed that 80 meters was so dead. The band was in very good
shape for daytime Qs out to about 600-800 miles but no stations. Even 160
showed promise throughout the day but again, no stations. A new england
station could be heard at 1810 every time I checked today. Just CQing away.
If the rest of the gang had been on 80 meters rather than 40, the scores
would have doubled--possibly more.

There were several contests to work. The NH QSO party was great for Qs into
MN. 10-10 was in full swing but these guys work Qs about as fast as an
inmate on his way to the gallows. The QRP contest was lots of fun too but
the sigs were down in the noise all the time. There was a RTTY contest
running but the pile-ups were tough to work--only 7 Qs.

I'm anxious to see how the rovers worked. GREAT FUN!
