What can I say? This Sprint was at least half the rush it was for Tree. When
my score approaches 0.5 X N6TR then I know I'm doing well! :) :) Congrats,
OM!

Since I was on a team (not sure which)and couldn't get a station to use
I broke out my radio boxes and antennas from storage and commenced to throw a
20/40 dipole together. This was at 22:15Z. I burst through the door of my
apartment at 2355 to start station assembly. My first contact was logged at
0009 and I was off! My rate was better than last weekend during the Phone
Sprint and I find CW to be a much more civilized mode, hi! My new 20 meter
dipole seemed to be playing well, though the band was quiet and and signals
not as loud as expected. 40 played better than I expected and was my money
band. Since there wasn't time to put up the 80 wire, I stayed away until the
last 15 minutes or so. With my 40 wire and TS-440S antenna tuner I did manage
four QSOs on 80. But I was weak there! I called N2IC several times and he
finally dug me out. I copied his info easily, but after sending mine he sent
"NIL" and went to find a readable signal to keep his rate up. I think I'd have
done the same in the last few minutes of an amazing Sprint. Great score,
Steve!

The experience that really stands out for me is that I seemed to stay focused
the entire time! Even when I got up to answer the telephone, only to inform
the caller that my dryer was already sold (and all this unpacking in the middle
of a move, yeeesh!), it didn't disturb my flow. Fun, fun, fun!

My multiplier total was better than expected. I picked up WY, ME, VT,ID, PR
and the HI/ late in the game. I heard AK, AL and NV and surely missed others.

Turns out my attenuator was switched on the whole time. That explains the
quiet
bands. Maybe it helped!
Once again, my pleasure to be a multiplier for everyone. Until next time.

73, David, XE1/N6AN
