5 el. monobander with excellent FB ratio (look text)
Story:
During the week i mounted a monobander on our tower but strong wind on friday
turned it out of route so sathurday morning i turned the rotor to N and went
agn on tower to fix the route. It was raining and i did align the boom to the
North! But (how can I be so stupid Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)i turned the reflector in
north direction!!!! I went down to shack and after couple of hours started the
contest!Misery, nothing calling stations for five times in sequence was a
nightmare! After couple of hours of nothing i started to check the
equipment.Everything was OK!So i asked friend of mine Mirko IK3UNA by phone how
is he going.Cold shower for me!He has made 100 QSO more than me with smaller
ant. and a third of my power.I was listening his pileup and i didn't hear the
Hams wich he was making. Then the brain made click! In a moment i was out and YES
(once agn. How can I be so stupid??)the ant. was in oposite direction!I turned
the rotor for 180 degrees and then started the pileup also for me.But at that
time the contest was already lost!the second day i made more qso's than the
first and here is the result!
Missed SD for WAS.I heard that I wasn't the only one.
Compliments to Matija S50C (10m) and Marko S57MW (80m) for score!
Thanks to everyone for qso and hope to hear You all in SSB part!
73's from
S55M-(stupid)Adi
