Comments:

40m Carolina Windom
20 watts on all bands except 15m where I used 5w.

Despite dire solar predictions, conditions were quite
good. This was my best ARRL DX CW result ever. I don't
think conditions were quite as good as they were during
last Fall's CQWW CW though. I was never able to sustain
a run on any band during this contest, but I was able to
do so during the CQWW.

Marshall Islands was a new DXCC for me. Worked 5U9C on
15m, but never heard him on the other bands. JAs were
dynamite in MD on Saturday around 5pm on 10m. By 6pm I
was still hearing them about as well, but it was a lot
rougher to work them (for me). Other interesting stuff
worked: Jordan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lebanon. Heard EX2X
on 10m, but he never did hear me.

MD/DL5AXX was everywhere with very strong signals. They
were first in and last out here. Worked them easily on
all bands on which I was active.

Best ears awards goes to: ZL6QH. I work him in just about
every DX contest. This time he was dirt weak with me, but
he still managed to pull me through in short order. For
us low power/QRP guys, it's a real art knowing when to
persist with a weak one and when not to. You cannot assume
they're not going to hear you just because they're weak on
your end.

Computer RF problem on 15m limited me to 5 watts there.
