Comments:
Best hour was 07Z the first night on 20 meters. Usually my station honks into
Europe on 10 but the 4-stack is hard wired and conditions were simply too good
for that configuration - the QSO rate dipped during the 16Z hour on both days
while signals were arriving at a higher angle than the stack could handle.
There was so much going on that I missed a lot of easy mults - went on a
multiplier binge during the last hour and picked up 16 new ones.
Used two new borrowed radios. IC756PROII/Titan was the main station and
IC746PRO/L7 was the second station. The '756 developed an intermittent problem
Saturday - sometimes it would keep the amplifier relay keyed on receive. The
first time it happened I thought a solar flare had hit while I'd been
transmitting! Sunday morning it got so bad that I had to swap it out for my
regular FT1000MP.
