Whoa! As somebody already noticed it would be much more fun that the contest
last only 24 hours, so you would need much more skills in the game instead of
easy going contesting without worrying on missing someone.
65% of the activity was doing S&P and that's what made me very exhausted as
CQing is big trouble with my station even tho' I've got some nice runs.
Speacilly was very happy with gettin' NAs one after another on 80m with only
about 50W(1:3 swr). But that happend only the first night as for the 2nd murphy
got involved and wind+rain cut off one piece of the dipole so 0 qsos whole 2nd
night on 80m.
20m was outstanding while 15m disapointed me a lot. 10m was standard and on 40m
I've been surprised with CA's comming on my call.
N6MJ gave me a comment after the contest that I was loud on 20m but in that
case where are all the qsos?! Only 76q/h was the best hour rate and my usuall
hours were about 45-50q/h.
I've noticed lot of QRP stations. Few times happend that I was calling station
and before I got on my turn heard 2-3 qsos giving out "599 5". Anybody noticed
this high "QRP" acitivty?
With noisy low bands (downtown) I've got some additional QRM by rock/punk
concert on saturday, just 2 floors below my club/station. City's youngsters
club in the same building.
My thanks to DJ1YFK on ideas for gettin' mouse 9 pin connector put on CW cable
without burning it out. On the end after searching over 3 towns for one lousy 9
pin female connnector (nowhere been able to buy it) I burned out the bloody
connector out of the box.
Another problem showed hour or two before contest when I noticed the logging
computer had no HDD, but HDD is lot easier to find.
Crazy weekend was ended by my YLs comment: "I've got unknown call saying you've
been seen with another girl". That's happens when U love contesting.
Contest commitee should check who was operating @ 9A7P.. haha
73s / TU All 4 Qs!
