Station : IC-706Mk2 + R-7000 vertical, hotel room type of operation.
We landed in Agadir on saturday at 1930z under a hard rain, the only one they
had in the past 3 months. Not the best to go to the hotel, take the room and
set
up the antennas.
Unknown room (and roof !) configuration and night didn't help to install the 2
verticals I took so I decided to only put the R-7000 up on the room balcony,
only 3 meters from the radio but with 25 m of coax to connect them. The ocean
is only 300 m from the antenna, with a clear shot to the NW.
This antenna is not designed to work on 80m so the 12 ones that heard me can
be sure they have good reception and good ears, so they deserved the mult !
The HF2V and 160 m kit was set up on thursday and I even worked some 10 US/VE
stations on 160 m. Too late unfortunately.
Total operating time in the contest is approx. 17 hours.
Thanks to all of you for calling.
