Our score is actually down a little bit (200K) from last year. We had more QSOs
but fewer multipliers.

We were going to do our traditional multi-multi with four ops and four radios,
but Al, W1FJ had an unbreakable commitment and had to leave early. So Bob, WT1O
filled in on 20 for most of the day Sunday (and did a fine job).

Four stations is not enough to cover all the openings when conditions are this
good. There were at least ten hours where a fifth station would have been
making QSOs. Next year we will probably have a fifth full-time op, perhaps a
"hired gun" from outside New England.

We managed to beat KC1XX in 20 meter QSOs (but not mults) this year. Actually
we started quite well. Here are some numbers for us and KC1XX after ten hours:

80: KC1XX 473/74 K1XM 491/72
40: KC1XX 554/87 K1XM 601/78
20: KC1XX 765/92 K1XM 865/95

The new 40 meter beam works. We felt it was consistently louder than the
verticals.

No amplifier problems during the contest! We had trouble with the FT-1000
station losing computer control and with RF interference.

Hey, K9NS ops -- INCREDIBLE JOB!

We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year.
