Comments:

I was sick all week and on Friday I was still run down and had the dry
coughs...not very good for SSB contests.  Originally, SOABHP was what I wanted
to do, but I knew my voice wouldn't last endless runs, so I changed to a contest
involving more listening....40 meters.  Listening to 100kHz of SSB signals all
piled up on each other, although it tears up your ears, doesn't hurt the voice. 
Thank God for the DVK.  One has to be pretty nimble to keep dodging the
broadcast stations as they fire up on your run frequency.
I heard LPL and XX doing the same thing during the contest.  There is no way to
win a frequency fight with a 200 KW broadcast station.  Even the big guns run
from that!
