Club: Southern California Contest Club

Comments:

This was my 1st CQP since 1991 and was the 1st contest in which I setup a
competition. I had two goals, to beat the county record of 184,500 set in 1991
and to beat (one of my ham mentors) Charlie, W6KK.

I beat the county record by 16% but lost to Charlie by only 1% total points.
Charlie owned me on CW... something that I should have prepared for well in
advance. This was one fun contest.

New station additions... F12 C31XR replaced an old A4S at 55' We fed it with 3
runs of RG-213 for SO2R use. Ice 419 boxes were used for bandpass filters. 

Thanks to everyone who put up with my CW. I really have a desire to learn it
proficiently now that I've seen how fun and worthwhile it can be.
