Thurs AM Discover a problem programming my voice keyer.
Thurs PM Buy a fresh bottle of Chloraseptic Throat Spray.
Fri AM Conditions sound terrible...no records likely this year.
Fri PM Hear a few weak and very fluttery JA signals.
0000-0126 S&P for only 39 Q's, only 3 JA's and even VE's are weak!
1112-1236 S&P, EU backscatter via SA, major struggle for UA9 & EX9.
1236-1800 Run, best rate 206/hr at 1244 but very few Asia.
1802-2221 S&P AF/SA/Caribbean, JA at 2123 but still weak & fluttery.
2222-2248 Run a few JA's but decide I'm better off doing S&P.
2255-0106 S&P, manage to work a few Zone 27/28/24 but no Zone 01/19 yet!
1059-1146 S&P, band sounds much better, can even hear KH0AA running EU!
1148-1905 Run, still not great to Asia but deeper EU today (UA, UR, etc).
1910-2055 Mostly S&P, attempt a few short unsuccessful runs.
2107-2308 Run (walk?), practice Spanish, finally Zone 1!...KL7RA at 2126.
2311-2359 Mostly S&P until the end.
(Missed zones 18/19/22/23/26/34)...conditions from about 330-030 degrees
were virtually nonexistent.
Thanks to all for a very fun weekend in spite of the conditions!
CQWW is truly the best contest on the planet and all of you make it so.
Let's hope the better conditions of Sunday and Monday repeat 27 days later
for the CW weekend...see you then!
