Comments:

Modest conditions at the start, 10/20 meters were poor but 15,40 and even 80
worked well. Sunday morning the bands began to even out with 10 & 20 meters
coming back a bit. Noticed the W/VE count was down from last year but DX was up.
Signals over the pole were mostly watery - the RITTY front end with Writelog
really shined here. Was using a PK-232 as second decoder with the audio split
off the MP and RITTY was the hands down winner.
For me & my limited station this year was quite an improvement. More than
doubled last years score and I felt at least a bit more competitive, even
without the benefit of the 'east coast advantage'. It was a thrill to be able to
run stations and actually hold a frequency for a few short periods with low
power: some real gentelmen/ladies in this contest.

Will be back again next year.

Same setup as last year:

Writelog/RITTY
FT-1000MP (80 watts)
Cush Craft A3S @ 50'
40 vertical wire loop (top at 45')
80 Meters - Shunt fed 50' tower
The 160/80/40 listening wire is down on the ground thanks to the fallen trees.

73 & thanks for the qso's

Denny WB8K
