Comments:

In spite of the poor conditions on 10, I got off to a good start with 15 & 20
rates, and stayed on target for a finish with a QSO total in the low 700’s until
well after dark. But all was not well.

It was 80M that did me in. My array is designed for DX and low angle sigs, and
in stateside contests there are always periods where I can’t buy a run rate.
Then the band changes and I own it. That just didn’t happen this time. And then
I noticed that the left radio (on 80) was only putting out 40 watts for who
knows how long.

160 sounded great for August, but I didn’t take enough off time earlier and thus
didn’t allow enough time for 160. I rarely do the off times right in this
contest.
