Whew! Lots of QRN Friday night, making 80 almost
impossible. The EU sunrise opening on Saturday
was much more fun.
Congratulations to N9RV...Amazing score from
the Midwest!
Thanks to John Evans, N3HBX, for the
use of his great station! My first time doing
WAE CW seriously from the US. I STILL don't
understand the off-time strategy. :-)
I decided not to move to 10 meters when it opened.
The rates on 15 were too good (12:00-13:30Z on
Sunday). I did move a couple of multipliers and
S&P a lot. I tried to move one DL. I went to
10 and called CQ a few times and a different DL
answered! That worked.
The most points in three QSO's was moving IT9ORA
from 80 to 40 to 20 and then sending 10 QTC's!
My best moment was breaking the pileup on TA1E
on 20 CW on the first call!
TR-LOg worked very well all weekend. And, it does
allow not sending the hour for every QSO in a
QTC, though I forgot to set it until Sunday.
Amazing what NOT LISTENING to your own CW will do
for you.
