Good fun, and good participation. No need to say that the contest rule makes it
a non-competition(*), but the conditions and the activity have been good enough
to make it "enjoyable".
-"OK-wise", the skip never got short enough to work OK "1 straight hop", so only
a few rare "big guns" could be worked on 10/15/20.
-"DX-wise", excellent conditions on low bands and slightly better 10m than
during the ARRL10 last week. Had an hear on 20m at 2230 local time, after having
exhausted 80 and 40 ressources: All the "W-TTY-freaks" were there CQíng with
strong signals, so despite "not strategic"(**) could not resist...
Many 5-banders, a few good surprises and lot of friendly hams around; a good
weekend !
Merry X-mas and Happy new year to all, and see you next year on the contesting
scene !
Patrick

(*)As demonstrated by 9H0A last year, being at the "critical" distance to work
OK both on low and high bands is the only way you can expect some score... In
my humble opinion, a Ax(B+C) calculation would make the competition less
"unbalanced" while maintaining some sex-appeal on OK stations (which looks to be
the major purpose of this contest!), but anyway this could be said also for a
majority of contests: Our activity is "unfair" by nature (except maybe the WRTC
and some "virtual" contesting...)
(**) With 6 points/DX on 40m, the strategy is more than obvious... High bands
are just there for the mults...
