Comments:

Just played for a few hours while taking a break between the two big ARRL DX
contest weekends. Some good propagation despite noisey band conditions, but that
seems fairly typical for this weekend.

Activity seemed down -- last year we at times had to go all the way to 1995 khz
to find the  top end of activity. This year things topped out about 1950 khz. We
worked many Europeans transceive and split while transmitting on 1948 khz, and
all contacts were made above 1843 kHz in keeping with the ARRL 160 meter band
plan.
