Comments:

I felt like I was the only guy running high power. Plenty of stations called me,
but it seemed scores were in the mud. Terrible QRN and QSB. 160m was totally
impossible and never heard a peep on 10. 

Excuses why N6RO hosed me:

I had my back yard neighbors come by in the 2nd hour complaining about
interference with their cordless phones. Never heard from them before. Never
even saw them before. They said my tower "couldn't be legal" which pissed me
off.  I offered an RFI proof phone as a "temporary" solution, but they refused
it. I wasted 20 minutes of prime time on that. I wound up leaving a copy of the
FCC Interference Manual on their doorstep that says the FCC doesn't protect
cordless phones against interference, along with a copy of my tower permit and
license.

Tuesday morning I had to get out my monthly and quarterly reports to clients
(I'm a Registered Investment Adviser) and somehow last quarter's end got screwed
up for a few accounts and I didn't find out about it until this morning. Burned
another hour of prime time figuring out what happened and how to fix it.
Fortunately, the office in the garage is also the shack, so I didn't have to
waste time commuting. 

I also used Writelog in a phone contest for the first time and had some issues
in that I couldn't use the voice keyer on one radio among other things on the
learning curve.

I like the format of this contest in that its mixed mode and everybody can work
everybody for points.
