Club: Northern California Contest Club

Comments:

First time in a VHF Contest.  Grabbed the FT-817 and Arrow yagi with tripod
and hiked to the peak of Mount Davidson (allegedly the highest point in the
City and County of San Francisco at about 900 feet) on a
beautiful fog-free day with one of my sons.  Had a great time 
for as long as the battery lasted and learned a lot.  
Already planning how to do it better next time.
The concept of mixing fresh air and contesting was a new one to me.
