Comments:

My score in the CW weekend was down 50% from last year, in part due
to very bad snow static. The noise was low this weekend, so this
time my score was down only 33% from last year! The sum of my two
weekends' efforts was less than VE3EJ had in the CW weekend, so no
repeat plaque for the ARRL Combined Low Power category.

Actually, my band scores were virtually identical with last year,
both QSO and multiplier, on 160-15. However, since 10 meters
is the only band I was able to run on last year, the weak
propagation really took its toll on the overall score. I spent
as much time on 10 this year but mostly in search of elusive
multipliers. I did not find the European signals stronger to
the South, South East, or East, not that they were too strong
with all four yagis on the 4 high stack pointed NE, either!
So, I diversified, with the top two NE, one E, and one SE.
Big signals like RW2F and RA6CO peaked (about S4 here) for
about 10 minutes each morning around 1515z on 10 meters.
I was unable to run JAs on either 10 or 15 either afternoon
this time out. A total of 35 Qs resulted from CQing....,
confirming that the maximum amount of S&P QSOs I can get in any
contest (CQWW, ARRL DX, WPX, or SS) is about 1000.

TR shows a decrease of five hours in operating time, but some
of those "missing hours" were periods of time I was in the
chair tuning in vain for someone I had not yet worked. I
took off 5 hours Saturday night, and some short times for
snack breaks, etc. I think I was in the chair about 41
hours.

At least I'm not alone in my misery since a lot my my SMC
brethren also had scores down 30-50% or more.
