Comments:

First, thanks to Tom for use of his wonderful station. I have never operated
with more than a tribander before so the use of the 6/6/6 stack was amazing.
Learning how to use it to my full advantage took some time but I did figure it
out.

The dicision to operate only on 15 was made to accommodate Tom and his wife's
schedule of wanting to sleep. :-) It worked perfectly as the band opened at
about 1230UTC and closed about 0300UTC. Turned out to be a good choice as 15 was
the band to be on.

This was my first major effort of any kind in contest. Usually efforts are about
85% S&P and 15% attempted run. This was the complete opposite. Never heard so
many JAs!! It was wonderful. 43% of the QSOs where JA. Thanks guys. Started off
with the goal of 1000/100. By the end of Saturday I had 774/84 so the Q goal was
going to happen but I was worried about the multipliers. Needless to say that
goal was reached by working the 2nd VFO a little harder Sunday and getting a
couple of them to call me. Had 98 by 2000UTC and found J37LR hiding under a
pileup. VR2BG called with 30 minutes left in the contest for number 100. Thanks
Brett! Missed some of the mults listed here by others like Egypt, Kenya, and
V51. Probably missed more than that.

I do not have much to compare this to due this is only my 2nd ARRL DX and last
year was all S&P and my first contest on HF. I think my skills have improved
since that first ARRL DX last year. Hopefully in a couple of years I will be
ready for an SOAB but the cycle will be WAY down. Only time will tell but the
skills will get better. Find below a few stats of the operation from the Tom's
"Death Star". See everyone in WPX from the home QTH in an S&P get the DXCC
totals up before the sun turns off the prop effort. 73 de KC5YKX Reid

Station Stats: Ft-1000D, Alpha 87A, WriteLog v10, 6/6/6 Long boom yagis, WX0B
