Comments:

Only a 17.5 hour effort as I operated the Russian DX Contest as well...That was
a bust, but it's another story...

Fantastic propagation Sunday afternoon...10 m was even open for a few hours...15
and 20 were the real producers...40 and 80 very noisy...Strange propagation
though as everyone was the strongest with the beam pointed NE...USA, EU, OC ALL
louder with the ant pointed NE...Thought the rotor may have slipped or something
so even went out to look...Not sure what's up with that, but saved a little
rotator wear-and-tear I guess...

Not 1 JA station in the log and only 1 VK (ouch, that hurts)...Got all but a few
of the US call-areas but very few Canadian, only 14...Total of only 55
call-area-mults, normally should be closer to 80-90, so score is not what it
should be...Wonder if it was the same for many others...

Highlights of the contest: Great 2 hour run on 20 metres Sun aft, and working
ZL2AMI at 2350 on 10 metres Sun evening on the 40 metre dipole...Forgot to
switch antennas, hit the TX macro, SWR 100:1, power metre barely moving,
amplifier metres flying everywhere, and he answered the call...Don't know what
he has for an antenna but he's always loud here and has good ears...

Worked many stations who also showed up in my Russian DX Contest log, busy
weekend...Thanks for all the calls, was much fun...

73, Scott VE1OP
