1st Radio: FT 1000MP + ACOM 2000A, 3/3 Full size at 42/22m and dipole at 15m
2nd Radio (only RX): FT757GX, 80m 4Square about 80m from the main tower.

My new stack proved to be too good antenna for this contest:) The pattern is so
excellent that I only got callers from the beam direction. And when beaming to
east then EU stations started CQing on my frequency and when to US then Russians
landed on me:) I should have had an option to split some power to dipole. Now I
had to engage into frequency fights every in 10 minutes!

40m was probably the most crowded band and unfortunately some of the "big"
contesters don't have elementary courtesy to ask QRL or even ? before starting
CQing. It was very painful that several times when a weak DX answered my CQ he
could not complete the report without somebody starting CQing in my face with
59+30 signal and being deaf to prays of letting me at least finish the QSO...

My 2nd radio idea worked perfectly! I could copy stations very well on 80m
4Square and go to even as near as 5KHZ to the transmitting station without much
splatter. Found many multipliers this way. Worked them with MP's 2nd VFO after
locating them (and moving 757 away from that frequency:)

I hoped for more US but unfortunately the participation seemed to be low. There
was also only mutial twilight for those QSOs. The same with JA. I wonder if any
US stations that worked me can comment on the signal strength??

The best DX was 3D2NC who called in 1.5 hours before my sunset! ZL6QH was very
strong, I could hear them almost 24h:)) Don't know if the dead possum gave an
extra signal boost:)

Congrs to Tine for super score! I am sure he has much more US due to 2 hours of
more darkness. I think Aurora also played it's role. There was a lot of Aurora
distortion in northern signals (VEs and upper US) and also OHs were very hard to
copy. Sorry to Martti (2BH) - it took at least 5 times to your call right:)
