Comments:

Greetings from VT! I only worked 2 other VT stations, both with very tiny
scores. Thanks to whoever may have sent KE0A to find me on 15 fo my 78th
multiplier! WB0O was missed for sure! Never even heard anyone CALL KL7 or
VE8/VY1, so I'll miss a mug for the first time in several years! (Bet the ARRL
will have plenty on hand...)

This was my first attempt ever at using a computer logging program in SS, after
using my own homebrew paper logs and dup sheets for all these years! Sorry for
some screwups along the way! It took quite a while to get used to it, but I'd
give it a passing grade once I got used to it.

I still say it's actually SLOWER for me than using my trusty pen and dup sheets,
even when I was thoroughly used to it. Ordinarily, when I hear a piece of a
call, or a whole call, I can instantly glance down at my usual dup sheet, with
no need to type in a call. And, if I'm using split phones on 2 bands, how to
quickly check TWO calls, with one up there staring at you already?

The program is fine -- no complaints, really. If I were a HP station, just
sitting there "running them", it might be faster, but not if you must do some
"hunt and pounce". Then, again, I prefer my handy little pocket address book to
a PDA, because I find THAT faster, too!

Nice to work so many familiar and new calls. With the code requirement
obviously destined for extinction, I wonder how many more years of c.w. SS we'll
have? Hopefully, enough to outlast most of us OT's, anyway, but you have to
wonder if "code Sweepstakes" will be a memory one day!

73 from the mountain top!

Gary - W1ECH
