Comments:

For the past few years I've lived with a damaged KT-34XA that had a severely
distorted pattern (worked most people off the back of the beam), so it was nice
to have a new replacement to work with, a new 4-el SteppIR at 100ft. OK, perhaps
a bit high for SS, but more lower stuff is hopefully coming next year.

I missed KL7 and VE8. Heard a KL7 faintly late Sunday on 20, but couldn't copy
him well enough to get a report. Usually KL7 is very workable from here, but
not for me this weekend.

I put in a serious effort through Saturday night, but Sunday was pretty casual.
I took frequent breaks to enjoy some football and the incredibly beautiful
weather outside. A lot of these breaks were slightly less than 30 minutes, so
they don't officially count as off time. Consequently, the actual op time is
less than that indicated above.

I really like reading the comments in these 3830 reports. It's great to hear
everyone's experiences and amazing to see what some guys are accomplishing with
modest setups, e.g., KU8E 500+ 20m Q's with a dipole at 30ft!

CU next year.
