Comments:

I think VE4GV summed it up well.

It was a very frusrating weekend from 53 degrees north. Only 14 Q's on 15m on
Sunday. Nothing heard on 15m Sunday till after 1600Z.

Missed QC and ND. Never heard either one. WB0O probably took a look at the
forecast and went "I'm outta here".

On the up side I did get 8 hours of near uninterupted sleep.

To help you understand the one way skip thing let me give you a scenario that
stands out. Sunday morning on 20m in the 1500Z hour I work W7WW pretty easily.
But then all weekend I could work the west stuff. 14 minutes later, yes, 14
minutes later I come across W4ATL with a nice solid S9 signal, I call him, he
calls CQ again, I call him, he calls CQ again, I call him, he gets part of the
call, etc.... and so it goes. More than a minute to make the QSO. All this time
he is just booming in up here. Am I QRP??? Am I using a vertical??? No, I'm
using the legal limit to a 5el yagi at 160 feet. I should be able to make K4XS's
fillings hurt if he's pointed my way on 20m that time of the day.
As it turned out that hour netted me 7 Q's. The next hour had 7 Q's too, but I
stopped to eat breakfast, think thats the 1st time I've ever done that. All this
time 20m "sounds" good. Nobody can hear me though. 15m has three signals on it
NJ4M, W4FCG, and one other 4 land station. I dont make a Q on 15 till 1720Z
Sunday morning. The last few years I've been on 10m for an hour by then.

Big signal of the weekend goes to K5TR. George was very loud on 20 and 40 up
here.

All in all it was a crappy weekend for SS Phone from up here.
